For this auditor that I know the answer to the entry about the F's.

There are six F's in the sentence.

A person of average intelligence finds three of them.

If you spotted four, you're above average.

If you got five, you can turn your nose at most anybody.

If you caught six, you are a genius.

We all recognise the Mona Lisa, right?

But which one is the right one?

Did you guess right? Let's turn them the right way up. There are no tricks, this is the right way up.

EXPLANATION

You probably had no problem recognising the Mona Lisa (even if she was upside down). Things look fine until you turn the image the right way up. Now you see that one Mona Lisa looks terrible.

Why was it so difficult to recognise the altered Mona when the paintings were upside down?

The altered Mona Lisa has had her eyes and mouth turned upside down. Since you don’t normally look at upside down faces your mind isn’t familiar with the way an upside down face should look. As a result you don’t notice that something is odd with the painting.

Turn the picture upside down and it’s a whole new ball game. Now you are very familiar with this perspective of looking at people and you are aware of every subtle nuance that describes a face. Now you can easily identify that something is wrong when one of the Monas look ghastly.
